Crimean Bridge project revived

Crimean Bridge: Despite concerns over its cost and ongoing tensions between the two countries, Russia and Ukraine are again looking at the possibility of rebuilding the 4.5km bridge across the Strait of Kerch that would link Russia’s Taman Peninsula and the Kerch Peninsula in Ukraine’s Crimea. According to the Council of Ministers of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the final proposal will call for a road bridge which may also offer several additional functions including a railway, a gas pipeline and a high voltage grid.
