Rouble becomes official Crimean currency: The Ukrainian hryvnia today ceased to be legal tender in Crimea, with all cash and non-cash payments being transacted in roubles from now on in. The dual pricing system that has been in place since Crimea became part of Russia on March 21 will now disappear as the rouble becomes the official Crimean currency.
