Russian companies drop down Forbes rankings as Chinese banks take top four slots

Forbes Global 2000 top companies logoNearly all the Russian firms listed in the 2015 Forbes rankings of the world’s top 2,000 companies have dropped down several places from last year, reflecting the country’s steep economic downturn. Chinese banks, in contrast – ICBC, the China Construction Bank, the Agricultural Bank of China and the Bank of China – occupy the top four places.
119 Chinese companies make it into the top 2,000 this year compared to 27 Russian ones. The only other Central Asia company to feature is Kazakhstan’s Halyk Bank in 1608th place. The ranking also include 9 Turkish companies, led by Garanti Bank (449th). The full list of featured Russian companies is as follows:
